imagePakistanis have responded enthusiastically well to the Sonam Kapoor, Fawad Khan starrer ‘Khoobsurat’ which has garnered Rs 30 million in box office collections in the first three days of its release.

‘Khoobsurat’ has done extremely well in terms of box office collections compared to the other Bollywood release ‘Dawaat-e-Ishq’, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra. Though, ‘Dawat-e-Ishq’ is doing much better than ‘Khoobsurat’ in India but Pakistani audience seems quite excited about Fawad Khan’s debut.

Amjad Rasheed who owns the IMGC entertainment company said the response has been outstanding. “No film has ever made Rs 10 million on a non-holiday week and this is the first time this has ever happened”. He pointed out the highest grossing films in Pakistan including Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’, Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ and ‘Waar’ were all released on Eid holidays, media reported.

Reportedly, on the other hand, Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan starrer ‘Khoobsurat’ continues to struggle to make a mark at the Indian Box Office. ‘Khoobsurat’ made a business of around Rs 14 crores in first five days in India.

‘Khubsoorat’ have such a high demand in Pakistan that most of the cinema halls, multiplexes and cineplexes are running extra screenings for Fawad and Sonam starrer.
