ISLAMABAD: The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Monday ordered an inquiry into the incident of torturing a cameraman of private TV channel within premises of Parliament by a guard of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
The Speaker held meeting with the representatives of media persons in his office and assured them transparent investigation into the matter. He informed the House that inquiry had been ordered into this incident and legal action would be taken against the person involved in it.
He said that instruction had been given that no personal security guard of any personality would enter into the premises of Parliament. The security personnel of the National Assembly would guard the personalities, he maintained.
Leader of the Opposition Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that he would himself conduct meeting with representatives of journalists.
