KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday summoned Home Secretary of Sindh for his explanation in a petition against the rejection of license of private security company.

A two-member bench of the SHC heard the petition filed by Universe Security Service.

The company said that its license was rejected on the report of ISI.

The security companies face difficulties due to the lack of licensing authority and a proper policy in Sindh, it maintained.

The counsel of the petitioner told the court that an application was submitted in 2015 to allow that service be started in Sindh after Punjab. The petitioner stated that Chief Minister of Sindh in November 2017 had allowed them for working in Sindh but in 2018 the federal interior ministry rejected their license.

He said Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the federal ministry for review on the rejection of license but the orders were not implemented.
