ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda Tuesday said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was taking gigantic measures to eliminate menace of corruption and money laundering from the country.

Evidences of corruption in the past were available to the government to take actions against corrupt elements, he said talking to a private news channel.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was determined to make corruption free Pakistan to bring development and prosperity in the country.

He said the incumbent government was taking effective measures against corruption which had not done during the past 65 years.

PTI had emerged a biggest political party during the general election 2018, he said. Faisal Vawda said the PTI government had adopted austerity measures, adding that Punjab and Sindh Governors were living in their own residences rather in Governor Houses.
