imageSWAT: Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday said that giving leadership to the youth and addressing grievances of the ignored segments of society were the manifesto of his party.

It was his ambition to carve a new Pakistan for the purpose, and he would utilize all his energies to achieve the goal, said Imran Khan, addressing a public meeting at Grasi Ground here.

The PTI chief said that if voted to power, his party would establish peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas.

He said that the politics of other parties revolved around the family of their leaders. The party chiefs were prioritizing their scions while on the contrary 25 per cent of the PTI candidates belonged to the working class.

He said that if he was voted to become prime minister of the country, his prime focus would be on improving the education system. A uniform curriculum would be introduced for the children of both the rich and the poor.

He said that overseas Pakistanis would also be involved in running the affairs of country.

Imran alleged that the former Punjab rulers had deployed some 12,000 policemen for their security. The PTI will introduce a new system for the orientation of police, he added.

He said that the menace of terrorism should be dealt politically. Those, who had dubbed him as "Taliban Khan" are now negotiating with Talibaan for peace, he added.

The PTI leader that all the political parties of country were undemocratic and the PTI was the only one which was focusing on the uplift of marginalized segments of society with the support of masses.

Central General Secretary PTI Pervaiz Khattak, District President Dr Amjad Ali and Provincial Vice President Fazal Hakeem Khan also addressed the meeting.
