Parineeti Chopra to sizzle with Imran Khan

KARACHI: Actor Parineeti Chopra, who made an impressive debut last year as the brash, loud-mouthed Dimple Chaddha in “Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl”, has bagged another promising project. Producer Karan Johar has approached the newbie for his next movie which is said to be a love triangle.

 

Chopra is a small town girl from Ambala who won almost all the Best Debutante Awards for her second role as the female lead opposite new Actor Arjun Kapoor in the romantic-drama “Ishaqzaade”.

 

According to various sources, the Director-Actor-Producer trio comprising of Punit Malhotra, Imran Khan and Karan Johar, are said to be teaming up again for another romantic-comedy for which Chopra has been signed.

 

The story is believed to be a love triangle in which Chopra will play one of the female leads, a vivacious Punjabi lass paired opposite Imran Khan. Chopra and Anushka Sharma both were approached for the role, but in the end it was Chopra that appears to have bagged it.

 

The other female lead is not yet known. Apparently, Sharma wasn't very keen to take up the second role. There are rumors about Actor Priyanka Chopra being the next lead, but considering she's Parineeti's first cousin, that seems somewhat unlikely to happen.

 

However, whether the Khan and Chopra pairing will sizzle and dazzle the audiences enough to set the box-office on fire has yet to be seen.
