Three people of same family lost their lives after a section of the roof of a four story residential building collapsed in Gulistan-e-Johar block-7 area here late Tuesday.
Following the incident, rescue teams reached at the site and recovered the bodies from the debris and shifted them to hospital for medical formalities.
Roof of the house situated at the upper storey of a four-storey building partially collapsed, burying a man, his wife and a child under the debris.
The victims have been identified as Aurangzeb, Shiza and their son Abdul Hadi.
The building was 25 years old and the roof reportedly collapsed due to seepage. Residents say the roof was weak and was being tiled.
