President Alvi chairs meeting of religious scholars to discuss prayer congregations

• President said the entire nation is looking towards the government and the religious scholars to come up with a consensus policy on the matter.

A meeting of religious scholars chaired by President Arif Alvi is underway at the Presidential House to prepare a strategy for prayer congregations and Namaz-e-Taraweeh during Ramazan.

In his opening remarks, the president said the entire nation is looking towards the government and the religious scholars to come up with a consensus policy on the matter. He said together they have to give a message of unity to the nation to deal with the coronavirus situation prevailing in the country.

He said in this regard they have sought proposals from all provincial governments to incorporate their point of view while making a decision regarding a strategy for prayer congregations during coronavirus crisis.
