COAS orders to dispatch protective equipment to Quetta amid protest by doctors

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) announced on Tuesday that emergency supplies of medical equipment is being dispatched to Quetta amid clash between police and doctors.

In a tweet on Tuesday, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said that on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa's directions, Personal protective Equipment (PPEs) are also being dispatched to Quetta, so that doctors can effectively combat the novel coronavirus.

On Monday, Balochistan Police arrested over a dozen young doctors who were protesting against the unavailability of PPEs. The security forces baton-charged the demonstrators.
