Punjab reports seven new coronavirus cases

With seven new corona positive cases, the total number of novel coronavirus cases in Punjab has reached 497, leaving the Sindh province behind with regard to the total number of such cases.

With seven new corona positive cases, the total number of novel coronavirus cases in Punjab has reached 497, leaving the Sindh province behind with regard to the total number of such cases.
As per details, there are 207 cases in D. G. Khan, 46 in Multan, 116 in Lahore, 48 in Gujrat, nine in Gujranwala, 19 in Jhelum, 14 in Rawalpindi, three in Multan, 10 in Faisalabad, three in Mandi Bahauddin, two in Sargodha, two in Nankana Sahib, two in Mianwali, two in Narowal and one each in Rahim Yar Khan, Attock, Bahawalnagar and Khushab.
Five deaths have occurred in Punjab, the highest among the provinces. However, five patients have recovered from the disease. Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has announced that Punjab will set up a force of volunteers, the Chief Minister's Mujahid Razakar Force, which will support the government in looking after the patients and keeping a smooth supply of medicines to patients.
Under the new initiative, a helpline will be set up for the voluntary workforce and the induction of staff will be conducted through the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid said, "On directions from the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, we have started the hiring process of doctors on urgent basis to meet any shortage in the wake of corona emergency. We are utilizing all available resources to control and combat Corona and additional resources are being diverted to meet the emergency.
