Economy's destruction posing bigger threat than coronavirus: Shahbaz

Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and president Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif has said that COVID 19 has shaken the entire world and the 'destruction of economy' is emerging as a bigger threat than coronavirus.
While addressing the PML-N Senators, MNAs, MPAs, office bearers and ticket holders via video link on Wednesday, Shahbaz said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to undergo a serious heart operation next week for which the preparations have been made. He said: "Nawaz Sharif is deeply saddened by the current situation that the nation is suffering."
Expressing concern over surge in Corona positive cases, he said that the efforts should be made to protect the interests of the nation and the country at this critical time. "We consider doing politics at this difficult time as sin," he said, adding: "The government should announce action plan to deal with the current challenge."
The opposition leader said that the virus has shaken whole world and innocent people are dying. He urged his party men to play their role in addressing the challenge and also follow the directions of the government. "We should not prioritize politics and political interests at this difficult time and we have to keep on the track of our goal," he said.
