58th Parents' Day Ceremony was held at Cadet College Petaro.Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. While addressing the gathering, Chief of the Naval Staff extended felicitations to the prize winners and appreciated their performance in academics & various co-curricular activities.

Talking the cadets, the Admiral advised them that by having unwavering faith in Allah (SWT), working hard and continuing their pursuit of knowledge; they can transform into the youth worthy of Qaud's & Iqbal's dreams. He also urged them to be ethically & morally upright, be sincere not only to their elders but also to their motherland and always endeavor to keep the flag of Pakistan high.The Naval Chiefalso appreciated the services of Cadet College Petaro for provision of quality education and character building of the cadets in a learning conducive environment.

Earlier in his welcome address, Principal Cadet College Petaro, Commodore MehboobElahi Malik presented the Annual Report of the College and highlighted exceptional performance of cadets in the domains of academics, sports and co-curricular activities. He also mentioned the development works completed during last year and progress on undergoing projects at the college.

Later, Chief of the Naval Staff gave away the prizes to the award winners. Jinnah House was declared as the Champion House, Cadet Aftab Ahmed won the Badge of Honour, Cadet Bilal Sarwarwas awarded the Stick of Honour and Cadet Muhammad Rabeet won the Best Academic certificate. In addition, awards were also given to the best performing faculty members of Cadet College Petaro.

Meanwhile, an impressive 4th Parents' Day Ceremony was held at Pakistan Navy Cadet College, Oramra (PNCCO).Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was received by Commander Coast Rear Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi.

Addressing the ceremony, the Federal Minister congratulated the prize winners and appreciated their performance in academics & various co-curricular activities. He advised the cadets to continue to work hard to excel in academics along with grooming a strong character. He expressed deep appreciation for faculty of PNCCO for imparting quality education and laying strong career foundations for young cadets from Balochistan and across the country. The Chief Guest also acknowledged and lauded Pakistan Navy's concerted efforts for socio-economic uplift especially of the coastal belt of Balochistan in the fields of education.

Earlier in his welcome address, Principal PNCCO, Commodore Masood Ul Hasan presented a resume of cadets' performance in academics, curricular & co-curricular activities.

He apprised the audience that the Cadet College which was established in 2013, is currently home to 268 cadets half of which belong to Balochistan. In addition, the Principal PNCCO also highlighted achievements of College and the cadets in different domains of academics within short span of its existence. Later, the Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners and high achievers.-PR
