Provisional figure: Rs 218.4 billion shortfall in collection

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has provisionally collected Rs 1,610 billion during July-November (2019-20) against target of Rs 1,828.4 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs 218.4 billion.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has provisionally collected Rs 1,610 billion during July-November (2019-20) against target of Rs 1,828.4 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs 218.4 billion.

Sources said that the FBR has provisionally collected Rs 327 billion during November 2019 against the monthly target of Rs 381.4 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs 54.4 billion.

During July-October (2019-20) period, the FBR had collected Rs 1,283 billion against target of Rs 1,447 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs164 billion.

The FBR had collected around Rs 1,380 billion during July-November (2018-19) against provisional collection of Rs 1,610 billion during July-November (2019-20), reflecting an increase of Rs 230 billion (14.3percent).

The FBR had collected Rs 320 billion during the month of October 2019 and maintained overall increase of 16 percent over last year and domestic tax over 25 percent. This was after taking into account negative aspect of import contraction of around Rs 50 billion.
