Police arrest 10 suspects, recover huge quantity of hashish

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police arrested 10 suspects on Sunday and recovered a huge quantity of hashish and banned mainpuri besides other items.

The SHO Husri police station Ghulam Farooq Rahupoto informed on Sunday that the Husri police stopped a suspicious car and recovered 100 kilograms hashish and arrested the car driver identified as Akhtar Baloch.

He claimed that Baloch was a member of an inter-provincial racket of smugglers and that he was wanted in several FIRs lodged in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Badin and other districts of Sindh.

The SHO Hatri police station Abdul Malik Abro told that the Hatri police also arrested a suspect and recovered 4 kg hashish from his possession.

He said the suspect Sajid Ali had been booked under the Narcotics Act. Meanwhile, the family of Ali held a protest outside the press club on Friday, alleging that their son was picked up the police in civvies on October 30 from their residence.

The GOR police and Phuleli police also arrested 4 suspects and recovered hundreds of packets of banned mainpuri.
