Customs officials at Jinnah International Airport’s international departure foiled an attempt of smuggling on Thursday by seizing one kilogram of Amphetamine.

According to report, the staff intercepted a passenger on suspicion after clearance of hand trolley from scanning machine manned by Airport Security Force (ASF).

After detailed examination, officials seized one kilogram Amphetamine (Crystal Meth) worth Rs.10,000,000 tentatively, concealed in the bottom of the trolley covered with carbon paper layered with iodex to dodge scanning machine operators.

Narcotics were seized while the passenger, carrying Amphetamine, was arrested. First Information Report (FIR) was also filed with initial investigation underway, official said.
