One killed, several injured as bomb rips through mosque in Quetta

At least two people and several others were injured in a blast near Rehmania mosque in Quetta's Pashtoonabad area on Friday afternoon.

The blast occurred when people were offering their Friday prayers. The injured are being shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta. Authorities fear more causalities.

Police and rescue teams reached the site of the blast and have cordoned off the area. The reason behind the blast has not been ascertained yet, local media reported. Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan condemned the blast and has summoned a report on the incident.

On April 12, 20 people were killed and 48 others were injured in a blast in Quetta’s Hazarganji.
