An accountability court once again extended on Thursday the judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan’s till April 20 in a case pertaining to assets beyond known source of income.

The PTI leader was produced before the accountability court in Lahore by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials as his judicial remand ends today. A number of PTI workers were present in court premises while strict security arrangements were made, local media reported.

During the hearing today, the judge asked the NAB prosecutor to present final report in the case. However, the bureau replied that the report was not made yet. The court expressed its displeasure and ordered NAB to submit its report in the next hearing.

On February 6, the PTI leader was taken into custody by NAB for owing assets beyond his known sources of income. Following his arrest, Khan had tendered his resignation.
