Saudi foreign minister arrives in Pakistan on day-long visit

Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir arrived on Thursday on a day-long official visit to Pakistan, according to local media reports.

The Saudi minister is visiting Pakistan on the directives of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to discuss the on-going Pakistan-India situation. The minister was due to visit the country last week but postponed his visit without stating the reason in the change of the schedule.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Jubier is expected to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other dignitaries during his day-long visit.
