Pakistan holds right to ‘befitting response’ after India’s LoC breach: FM Qureshi
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Tuesday that after India's violation of the Line of Control (LoC), Pakistan holds the right to self defense and a befitting response to the breach.
Addressing the media after chairing an emergency meeting at the Foreign Office, the foreign minister called the breach a 'grave aggression by India'. He said that after India's violation, Pakistan holds the right to give a befitting response to India. He added that they had continuously warned the world that this would happen and India had carried out aggression.
Qureshi further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has also summoned an important meeting in the wake of India'a violation of the LoC. The foreign minister will brief the media after the meeting concludes.
Earlier, the minister had said that Pakistan was a peace loving nation and has registered successes in the war on terrorism. He lauded the Pakistan armed forces for their prompt response to Indian forces and assured the nation that it should not worry about India's aggression, as defenders of the country were alert and ready to respond to any violations.
