IHC to announce verdict on Nawaz’s bail plea in Al-Azizia case on Monday

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce its verdict regarding ex-premier Nawaz Sharif's bail petition in the Al-Azizia case on February 25.

The two-member bench of the IHC had reserved its verdict on February 20 after hearing arguments from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor and Sharif's lawyer Khawaja Haris. The high court is set to announce it's decision on Monday, local media reported.

Sharif had filed a petition in the high court requesting bail on medical grounds. Sharif is currently in Jinnah hospital after doctors recommended his medical treatment. Sharif had been serving the seven-year jail term given to him by an accountability court in the Al-Azizia reference.
