Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that Pakistan is considering a complete closure of airspace to India and a complete ban on use of Pakistani land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan. Chaudhry on Tuesday tweeted, "PM is considering a complete closure of airspace to India, a complete ban on use of Pakistan land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan was also suggested in the cabinet meeting, legal formalities for these decisions are under consideration.
Modi has started we'll finish!" Pakistan had completely closed its airspace following the air strikes by Indian Air Force on Balakot on February 26. India Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week used Pakistani airspace reportedly for the first time after February's Balakot strike. Allowing airspace to Indian premier came under severe criticism on social media. When a media person last week asked Fawad Chaudhry why Modi was allowed to use Pakistani airspace and if any proposal was in pipeline for banning it, Chaudhry replied, "I do not know whether or not Modi used Pakistani airspace."
