Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to launch a mass movement against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government after the holy month of Ramazan for not fulfilling its commitment of creating new provinces -Janubi (south) Punjab, Bahawalpur and Hazara - in the country.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House here on Tuesday, PML-N leader and former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi said, "The PTI government has failed to fulfil all commitments made with the people before election. The PTI government had made a promise with the people of South Punjab for creation of new province within 100 days after coming into power but nine months have passed and it has not fulfilled its commitment."
He said that the PTI government needs two-third majority for legislation to create new provinces and for this purpose, Opposition Leader Shehbaz Shairf on the floor of the National Assembly had made commitment to support the PTI government but it did not give any response. He said that the PTI government should fulfil its promise which it had made before the election.
"Those people of South Punjab who left PML-N and joined the PTI on the promise that South Punjab province would be created in 100 days if they came into power, have forgotten their pledge. These people got united for their interests but they did not create a province and got ministries," he said.
Murtaza Javed Abbasi said that PML-N fulfilled its all promises which had been made with the people. He said that his party stands on its stance for creation of new provinces including Hazara, Bahawalpur and Janubi (south) Punjab.
The PML-N leader said that the nation is facing economic crisis because the PTI government is incompetent and has failed to deliver. "The PTI government should accept its incompetence and leave the power for sack of people," he said.
"The people will have to come on streets, as the present government has failed to fulfil its promises. We will start movement against PTI government after the holy month of Ramazan," he said.
