Due to prevailing tension between Pakistan and India, the railways administration has suspended Samjhota Express till further order. The train was to leave for India on Thursday (Feb 28). Munir Ahmad, Incharge Lahore Railways Station confirmed it on Thursday morning. It is pertinent to add that Samjhota Express leaves for India from Lahore junction twice a week - Monday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, Dosti Bus (running between Pakistan and India) left for India from Lahore as per its schedule. Only three passengers were on board in the bus. The driver of the bus told this scribe that "due to tension between the two countries occupancy rate is very low".
