HYDERABAD: As many as 0.3 million children up to five years of age would be administered anti-polio vaccine during a four-day campaign commencing from Dec 10 across the district.

This was stated by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr. Wasim Ali while addressing a meeting held here at DC office.

According to a handout issued by the district information office on Thursday, he said the anti-polio campaign will continue till Dec 13. He urged all members of the society to extend their fullest cooperation to teams engaged in administering polio drops to the children.

Focal person Dr Sajjan Daas informed the meeting that 830 teams had been constituted including 723 mobile, 67 fixed and 40 transit points.

District Health Officer Dr Muzhar Kalhoro, World Institution Health officials Ghulam Solangi, Dr Pareal, Dr Lubna Ali, ADC Fayaz Hussain Rahojo and other concerned officials were present on the occasion .
