Modest trade activity was witnessed on the local grain market on Wednesday, dealer said. On the cereals side, Makai gained Rs 250 to Rs 2250 and Rs 2375 due to strong demand by consumers, other commodities did not show any change mainly because of balanced demand and supply, they said. On the seeds side, Til regular lost Rs 400 to Rs 4000 and Til small new followed same patter, losing Rs 150 to Rs 3800, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new inferior type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1950, the best quality, however, rose the same amount to Rs 2100, they said. Prices were unchanged on the grams and cereals sectors, they said.
