In today's world of immediateness, customers expect payment means that are quick and convenient while remaining highly secure. They want to be provided with complementarily tools, including some that become an extension of themselves, through the emergence of "wearables": you no longer only carry a card with you in your wallet, but you also use Flybuy Wearables, Flybuy Sticker (a mini payment sticker pasted onto the back of your handset that you take with you pretty much every where), Flybuy Keyring (a payment fob inserted into a casing attached to your home or car key) and Flybuy Tag (the payment chip is directly inserted into fashionable rubber or textile wristbands or into more high-tech fitness band... or even in your clothes themselves!).
But customers also expect a high level of security, as the e-banking and e-commerce sectors have never been under so many online attacks such as phishing and fraud, reaching worrying levels pretty much everywhere. Several solutions exist but have shown their limits: most of them have put the cursor very high on security but somewhat to the detriment of user friendliness and of ease of deployment with significant impacts on e-merchants.
Display cards provided by OT are presented as a user-friendly solution also providing a high level of security for both e-banking and e-commerce:
-- One Time Password (OTP) cards featuring one button or a mini keyboard and a screen on the front, generate a unique password used for cardholder authentication on e-banking websites, or for 3D Secure authentication as an alternative to SMS.
-- Dynamic CVV (dCVV) cards feature a mini-screen on the back of the card, displaying the CVV security code used for online purchases, refreshed automatically and randomly every hour, without the cardholders having to press any button or install any special plug-in on their internet browser. So if the card gets stolen, this code becomes useless in the following hour. E-merchants will endorse the solution since they won't have to modify their website: the CVV generated by the card is used as a standard one, on existing payment pages without the need for extra button or pop-up window of any kind.
As biometric are also seen as a potentially efficient response, OT introduces ZWIPE Payment, a contactless payment device with an on-board fingerprint sensor. Biometric data used for "bioPIN" verification enabling device activation for contactless payment, never leave the built-in secure element.
TRAVELING SAFELYTHANKS TO A HIGHLY SECURE PASSPORTA SYMBOLIC IDENTITY DOCUMENT THAT REQUIRES HIGH LEVELS OF SECURITY
The national passport is an important symbol for each country in its function as a travel document, as well as a document to prove the holder's identity. An efficient and reliable passport concept must take into account, co-ordinate and optimise 3 key modules: the document itself, the personalization of the document and the application and vetting process.
Over the years, it appeared that previous passport concepts did not provide sufficient security features, resulting in different forgeries. In 2012, identity fraud incidents increased by more than one million victims with a global loss of more than $21 billion, the highest amount since 2009.
STRICT ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS
The security concept of a Passport is managed by ICAO standards and has been significantly reinforced after September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. In May 2003, ICAO adopted a blueprint for the introduction of the globally interoperable ePassport. The ICAO put in place a comprehensive set of specifications and recommendations at worldwide level, supporting interoperability and orienting all countries in the implementation of MRTD*s and eMRTD*s.
OT'S PORTFOLIO OF SECURED PASSPORT SOLUTIONS
In compliance with all regulations, OT promotes solutions including "MUST HAVE" packaged security features, either customised or generic, for a quicker time-to-market and optimised cost. OT is committed to delivering well designed products with tamperresistant features that will have strong indisputable links with global passport solutions.
OT's packaged solutions of "MUST HAVE" features result from a detailed analysis of features that must be combined after a risk assessment evaluation, so as to provide the most balanced products.
These solutions are available in legacy or smart passport versions including the package of security features, a chip, the Operating System (OS) and the issuance module. In order to respond to customers' unique needs that go beyond ICAO's recommendations, OT also provides fully customised solutions with innovative high-end features so as to always remain one step ahead of forgers.
MOBILE SMART SERVICESMOBILITY IS EVERYWHERE
Introduced by national governments for security and traceability reasons, SIM user registration is becoming a mandatory enrolment procedure aimed at safeguarding the public against acts of insecurity. Failure to register is a breach to the law and could lead mobile operators to refuse customer enrolment.
Subscriber registration is a key process aimed at recording and verifying SIM card numbers and personal details (ID data) of a subscriber by a communication service provider.
Implementing enrolment procedures is a real challenge for mobile operators looking for concrete solutions to optimise and secure their registration processes while reducing their total customer acquisition costs and simplifying the customer experience.
In order to actively support mobile operators in their willingness to set up and deploy registration procedures, OT has developed an innovative and user-friendly nomad service designed to simplify and secure the enrolment processes at any selling point.
SMART PAYMENT SERVICES MEETING THE NEEDS OF CONSUMERS ON THE GO
The number of connected mobile devices now exceeds the number of people on the planet. With this explosion in the use of smart phones and tablets, enabled by the growth in high speed communication networks, the mobility of consumers has never been greater. This dramatic change in landscape provides exciting opportunities for issuers to enhance long standing card issuance practices. Thanks to OT's exciting range of Smart Services issuers can maximise this opportunity to achieve faster card and PIN issuance in ways that are truly consumer centric.
The "want it now" generation of consumer is served via the immediate availability of payment cards via stores, branches, or remote kiosks and the real time retrieval of PINs. Never before has the consumer had so much freedom to choose when and how they receive cards and PINs.
In order to meet this challenge OT's Smart Services offer enables digitization of paper based issuance practices. Not only does this reduce the distribution effort, and allow issuers to meet social responsibility targets, it also allows service provision to consumers anytime anywhere.
OT's Smart Services are designed with consumer mobility in mind. Mobile web browser and app based formats are supported as a standard. Now cardholder's can capture an image on their smart phone and, via app, upload it directly to truly customise their card.
These advancements to card issuance are enabled by OT without comprising risk, in fact risk levels are reduced. All of OT Smart Services are hosted in its network of PCI-CP certified Data Centers and OT's dedicated Smart Services team provides professional services at all stages in the cycle from initial scoping, deployment, through to support of day-to-day service provision.
