The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday issued notices to the Sindh government, K-Electric and others over the heatwave deaths in Karachi. Two-member beach of SHC comprising Justice Aqeel Abbasi and Justice Shaukat Memon was hearing the case. The petitioner told the court that due to lack of electricity and water supply in Karachi, hundreds of people lost their lives. He added that the responsibility of the deaths lies on the Sindh government and K-Electric. The hearing was adjourned till the first week of August.
