The military leadership has decided not to respond to a tirade by Pakistan People's Party (PPP)'s Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, informed sources told this correspondent. The source added that it is not necessary to respond to all verbal attacks as that would degrade the credibility of the institution. Asked why ISPR had issued a strong statement in response to MQM leader Altaf Hussain's harangue against a rangers' action in Karachi the source smiled and added "perhaps we will respond to Zardari's statement after all though no decision has yet been taken in this regard."
