The Ministry of Interior has written a letter to US embassy to seek legal assistance of American intelligence agency Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to conduct a thorough probe into the Axact scam. Sources said that the letter was sent to the US Embassy following the announcement by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to seek the help of FBI and Interpol in the investigation into Axact scam.
They said that the letter includes all reports related to the investigation conducted by FIA team of the Axact. The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali on Saturday said the FIA has acquired substantive evidence regarding the scam due to which the government has decided to write a letter to FBI to provide legal assistance for a probe of the Axact scam. It has also written a letter to Interpol. "The ministry of interior will send request to Britain regarding probe of Axact scam," he had added.
