A delegation of World Bank on Thursday called on Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, here at NAB headquarter. The World Bank delegation appreciated the valuable efforts rendered by NAB and expressed desire for further co-operation with NAB through collaborative awareness and prevention programs.
The delegation was headed by World Bank Country Director, Rachid Benmessaoud, said a press release issued here. Briefing about the function of National Accountability Bureau, the chairman informed that NAB is Pakistan's apex anti-corruption agency which is a key stakeholder, not only in terms of its functioning at domestic level but is also the designated central authority at international level in matters concerning Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) under United Nation Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). He emphasised his resolve to eradicate corruption and corrupt practices from the country and highlighted NAB's future anti-corruption strategy for eradication of corruption through awareness and prevention.
