the Annual Political Consultations between Pakistan and Sweden were held in Stockholm on Wednesday, where Helena Sangeland, Head of Department for Asia and Pacific Region of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Nadeem Riyaz, Additional Secretary (Europe), led their respective delegation.
During the talks, the entire gamut of bilateral relations was discussed. Both sides agreed to further strengthen the existing ties in political, parliamentary, economy and culture areas. It was also decided to further enhance institutional linkages in education and explore new avenues of co-operation.
Pakistan and Sweden would explore possibilities for furthering relations in areas of energy, renewable energy and Green technology. The discussions also provided an opportunity for a frank and candid exchange of views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. It was agreed that the next round of consultations will be held in Islamabad in 2015.-PR
