Pakistan has condemned the US drone attacks in North Waziristan and termed these strikes as a violation of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. "The government of Pakistan condemns the drone strike that took place in the early hours of Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Garga, north of Shawal in North Waziristan Agency," said a statement of the Foreign Office.
It stated that Pakistan regards the strikes as a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity and demands their immediate cessation. "The government of Pakistan is itself taking decisive action against terrorists in North Waziristan Agency, thus rendering such strikes completely unnecessary," it added. The US drone reportedly fired two missiles, killing at least eight people and injuring two others. A few of them are said to be suspected foreign militants.
