A humanitarian organisation, Abaseen Foundation organised opening ceremony of a new building of Mian Gul Model School for girls at Shamshatu FR, Peshawar on Monday. The building consists of 16 classrooms and a hall which can easily accommodate students up to grade 10 was constructed with the generous funding of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Speaking to guests and participants on the occasion, Dr Mukhtiar Zaman, CEO of the organisation, shared that completion of new school building has strengthened Abaseen Foundation's commitment to increase literacy rate in FATA and the adjacent areas with a view to bring a positive change in the area through education. He appealed to the teachers, the students and guests to inform the general population to enrol their children and get benefit from quality and affordable learning opportunities in Mian Gul Model School Shamshatu. Those present on the occasion appreciated USAID's financial support for education in Shamshatu area and hoped that the Agency in joint collaboration with Abaseen Foundation will continue all possible support for educational as well as social uplift of the area.
