The Lahore High Court here on Monday suspended the suspension order of sacked Director Operations of Lesco, Mehboob Ali and reinstated him to the post. The court passed this interim order and sought reply from Ministry of Water and Power, Pepco and other respondents to the petition filed by the Director Operations.
Advocate Shehram Sarwar argued that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had arrested his client following allegations of selling electricity to industrial units. He said the trial court released the petitioner on bail and observed in its order that the prosecution's allegations were not proved.
The counsel said the corrupt mafia in Lesco did not want him to work at the office and had been trying to implicate him in the fake cases. He asked the court to set aside the notification of petitioner's removal and reinstate him to his post. The court after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, suspended the impugned order and sought replies from the respondents.
