Utility Stores Corporation has made available kitchen items of daily use on rates reduced from market at its stores during the month of Ramadan as Ramadan package of Pakistan government. According to national workers union of All Pakistan Utility Stores Corporation, the needy and poor were being provided daily use items at reduced rates and the items have been kept in large quantity. This was an appropriate action from regional administration of USC.
According to central joint secretary of the CBA union, Syed Naveed Shah, the banners have been displayed outside utility stores showing the prices of various items. He said wheat flour of 10 kg bag was sold in open market at Rs450 while at stores at Rs310. Similarly prices of other items been reduced for sale at stores like cereals, sugar, tea packs, rice and added that not only prices have been reduced but quality of items is also of standard.
