ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Lt. Gen Retd Abdul Qayyum on Thursday said PML-N’s government has great contribution towards the continuity of democratic and constitutional process.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan , he said democratic process in Pakistan is being strengthened in the country.

PML-N government when came into power in 2013, it faced two major challenges; First; the shortage of energy and the second was the issue of terrorism and extremism, he said.

Leader said It would not be wrong to say that the incumbent government has overcome on these issues. It is a success story of the government.

He also highlighted that Economic indicators improved during this government.

Pakistan received a huge foreign investment in the form of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project (CPEC), he added.

Abdul Qayyum said Pakistan’s foreign policy was also strengthened during PML-N government as country became member of SCO and relations with Russia strengthened.
