Punjab Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed has termed the proposed budget for the financial year 2014-15 a balanced and public-friendly budget. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said the PML-N government had taken another step towards progress and development of the agricultural sector by presenting farmer-friendly budget.
He said development of agriculture plays key role in development of national economy and the government had tried to provide relief to the people attached to this sector in the budget. He appreciated the increase in wages of labour, government employees and incentives for pensioners. He welcomed the government announcement of starting new water and power projects in the country and congratulated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
