The election of Executive Committee members of 6 Corporate Class and 6 Associate Class will be held tomorrow (Saturday) in Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI), HCCI released the schedule of Election for 2012, 2013. Sixty four members nominated their papers for corporate class and associate class, 22 members nominated their papers for corporate class, while 44 members nominated their papers for Associate class.
Three members of Election Commission scrutinised the papers of nominated members. Sixty three nominated members' papers found correct while the candidate of VIP Flour Mills filed an appeal to Apparent Commission. The commission gave the decision in favour of VIP Flour Mills. Nine candidates of Corporate Class and 31 candidates of Associate Class withdrew their nomination papers.
The final list of candidates for the Corporate Class contesting the election of 2012-13 for 12 vacant seats of Executive Committee members are: Muhammad Amin Khatri, Muhammad Madni, Doulat Ram, Muhammad Sabir Shaikh, Siknader Ali Rajput, Saman Mull Devnani, Shafique Ahmed Qureshi, Humayon Barkat, Muhammad Ikram Rajput, Hamid Mehmood Nasir, Muhammad Saleem Memon, Sufi Taj Muhammad while the Associate Class Executive Members are Muhammad Altaf Memon, Jalaluddin, Najamuddin, Saleemuddin, Muhammad Idress Memon, Muhammad Haroon Memon, Muhammad Rafique Qureshi, Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi, Abdul Sattar Khan, Muhammad Aslam Shaikh, Muhammad Saleem Shaikh and Zulfiqar Ali Chohan.
Returning Office Dr Muhammad Ali Chang said that all the arrangements are completed for polling. He said that the total eligible voters of the Corporate Class are 149 while Associate Class voters are 1,233. Six polling booths are made, 3 Election Commission members will supervise the polling.
