Domestic consumers: Lasbela chamber supports gas supply through cylinders

KARACHI: The Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has supported the decision of the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to supply residential consumers with gas cylinders instead of gas through pipelines.

This makes it much easier to ration gas supply and switch residential demand to alternative sources of energy.

President of LCCI Ismail Suttar stated, “Industries are greatly suffering due to shortages in energy supply. A huge portion of gas reserves are eaten up by residential demand because of which it is necessary to switch residential consumers to other forms of energy. The LCCI greatly welcomes this decision and is in full support of solving Pakistan’s energy crisis.”

By shifting and limiting supply of gas for residential demand, industries will be able to run a smooth flow of operations and thus contribute to the country’s economy.

The LCCI is committed to being the focal voice of Lasbela’s industry and will fully support initiatives for the greater good of Pakistan’s industrial community.
