PESHAWAR: A task force team of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has conducted a grand operation against power pilferage in Peshawar circle. The team has so far removed 31 direct connections and also recovered Rs3.6 million from defaulters.
Shaukat Afzal, a spokesman of the Pesco said that Task Force teams of Tangi and Daudzai sub divisions Peshawar under the supervision of Xen Shabqdar and Xen Cantt Rural Division carried out a grand operation in the areas of Tangi and Daudzai areas.
The senior official said that during operation teams removed 31 direct connections, while action against them has been sought.
Similarly, he said during operation Rs36 lacs have been recovered from defaulters, while several span LT conductors were removed.
Shaukat Afzal said the drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue with the same tempo across the province. The senior official said Pesco authorities have once again warned electricity stealers to stop power pilferage in the larger interest of the nation
