LAHORE: The division bench of the Lahore High Court here Wednesday allowed the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) to use the machinery and equipments of two Turkish companies for cleaning the city and issued notices to the respondent companies for January 19.

The bench allowed the LWMC to use the machineries, till the next hearing, for the cleaning services as its counsel informed the court that the machinery and the equipments were in possession of the LWMC and added the order of the single bench declaring the possession of the machinery by the LWMC illegal was not justified as the machinery and the equipments were taken into possession when the contractors refused to perform their duties as obligated under the agreements.

The bench passed this interim order on two separate intra appeals of Turkish companies Al-Bayrak and Ozpak against a decision of a single bench.
