WASHINGTON: The U.S. Commerce Department’s regulations giving preferential treatment to Hong Kong, including export license exceptions, have been suspended, Secretary Wilbur Ross said on Monday.
In a statement, Ross also said further actions to eliminate differential treatment for Hong Kong were also being evaluated, as Washington steps up pressure on China over its decision to impose security legislation on Hong Kong.
