A launching ceremony of book entitled "The Voice Across the Border", authored by Dr Mehtab Ali Shah and published by Gian Publishers, New Delhi, 2011, was held at Nelson Mandela Conference Hall, Department of International Relations, University of Sindh, here on Monday.
The ceremony was presided over by Pro Vice Chancellor Sindh University campus Mirpurkhas, Professor Dr Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar and attended by a large number of teachers and students. Speaking on this occasion, Professor Dr Panhwar appreciated the intellectual work of Dr Shah and said that there are few colleagues of such multi-dimensional personality that are academic in research and class. He further said that Dr Shah has always been outspoken on the issues of society with his academic point of view, adding that luckily, they got some scholars who maintain it.
He said that a varsity is a bunch of flowers and in some cases, leaves are also important, saying Dr Shah is different and unique due to his scholarly work. He termed the scholar's contribution a brave attempt, which will give review of the past and future. In his presentation, Dr Mehtab Ali Shah highlighted contents of his book. He said that he learns many things from young scholars and students at the varsity.
