Bollywood actress Sunny Leone recently embraced parenthood by adopting a baby girl Nisha, but the actress has stirred up a controversy putting a picture of the girl on internet violating the Juvenile Justice Act (JJ Act).

The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) shared a picture of 21-month old baby girl now named Nisha Kaur Weber, which apparently violated the Juvenile Justice Act (JJ Act).  The offense include CARA making 'unpleasant and objectionable' statements along with the shared picture, the authority is also accused of making provocative comments whilst praising Sunny Leone for taking this initiative.

“Without looking at colour, background and health status, Sunny Leone happily took the child in adoption. We respect that they didn’t try to bend the rules and stood in the queue like all the other parents,” said the Child Adoption Resource Agency (CARA) CEO Lt Col Deepak Kumar in the later deleted tweet.

Vibhanshu Joshi, a former member of the State Child Protection Committee, has raised the issue prominently, objecting to comments on the child's skin colour and appearance.

Sunny Leone and her husband became parents after a year long wait; the couple had filed an online application for adopting a child on CARA's Website back in 2016. Following the legal procedure Sunny met the 21-month-old baby girl for the first time in June 2017. CARA uploaded a picture of the child on August 4, violating the child's privacy and even made derogatory remarks about her.
