Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has increase the fuel surcharge owing to the soaring prices of the oil in international market, after which the PIA fares have also gone up.
According to a private television channel, PIA has increased 40 dollars at one-side ticket for US and Canada under the fuel surcharge head, for other European countries, including Britain 20 dollars and 10 dollars have been increased for the Middle East, India and Far Eastern countries. However, no addition was made on ticket for Umrah.
Besides, Rs 150 to Rs 300 have been added up to the one-side tickets for domestic flights. Meanwhile, the private airliner, Airblue, has announced to change the business class into economy class in all its domestic and international flights to cope with the problem of surging oil prices.
