Punjab governor opens youth festival

Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool inaugurated Youth performing Arts Festival (YPAF) here Friday. The festival is being held under the auspices of Rafi Peer Theatre group and Royal Norwegian Embassy from April 13 to 20, 2007.
Governor Khalid Maqbool announced Rs 5,00,000 for artistes who performed in the youth Festival on the occasion. Maqbool talked of services of the present government for promotion of art and culture on the occasion. There are four countries, India, Croatia, Germany and UK participating in the festival.
