Sri Lanka's average inflation rate rose to its highest level in nearly 10 years in February, the government said on Wednesday, but analysts expect the central bank to hold off raising interest rates again for now.
Inflation as measured on a 12-month moving average rose to 15.8 percent in February from 14.8 percent in January, the highest since May 1997, the government's Census and Statistics Department said, reflecting the impact of costly fuel imports.
