The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to respondent Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officials in a contempt petition for ignoring the court orders.
Petitioner Masood Ahmed and others working as passenger service assistants contended that they were working on contract basis and the court had directed the respondent PIA high officials to regularise them in accordance with the law. However, the respondent officials ignored the court orders.
The petitioners contended that the respondent officials are liable to proceed in accordance with the contempt of court law for ignoring the court orders. The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, issued notices to the respondents and directed them to submit their reply within a fortnight.
