Hundreds of people on Friday attended the funeral ceremony of two Samjohta Express victims Rana Omardin (55) and his son Muhammad younas across the Multan city. Four persons belonging to Multan died and they were identified as Muhammad Rafiq (58) Muhammad Irfan, Omardin (55) and Muhammad Younas (25) while two persons injured.
Around 68 people were killed in Samjohta Express bomb blast at Pani Pat, India, out of which four victims were from Multan and five children of a family from Faisalabad District Nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar, Town Nazim Mian Jamil Ahmed,Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan, MNA, Mirza Furqan Mughal MPA relatives of victims were present in Mumtazabad.
Funeral prayers were offered after Namaz-e-Asar in the colony and the victims were buried at the colony's graveyard. Touching scenes were witnessed at the funeral as relatives of the victims mourned their loss. Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan, MNA of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) said that the group responsible for the death of innocent people should be punished brutally. MQM Minister Safwan-ullah also reached at Multan to condole on the deaths.
