The Towel Manufacturers' Association of Pakistan (TMAP) has requested the government to bring down the prices of natural gas in line with the international prices.
TMAP Chairman M. Muzammil Hussain in a statement here on Wednesday referred to the recent plan to alter the basis for fixation of the natural gas retail tariffs and said the retail prices of gas in Pakistan particularly for industrial consumers were on the higher side.
It was becoming difficult for the industrialists to compete with their neighbours in the international markets, particularly since the start of free trade regime, he added.-PR
